A small lighthouse located in South Portland, Maine, goes a long way. This Greek-styled structure is an excellent starting point to view the vistas of the landmark Portland harbor on Casco Bay. You can step back into history in this old seafaring location, where among many historic sights, you can see Fort Gorges (right), built in 1864.
