There is no lack of photographic challenges on Vinalhaven Island, including wildlife, nature preserves, and important coastline fishing villages. It’s the real deal. Not to mention the sea air which permeates your very being. I sure hated to leave my visit there, but was treated to a visual wonderland as the ferry started back to Rockland. Everywhere islands, and the wonderful Camden Hills in the distance. Even when the weather is not optimal, Maine never lets you down. Mainers do say that if you don’t like the weather, come back in ten minutes. I’ll be back!
